Male Foot Size Conversion

Around the world, foot size is measured in different ways, which is why having a simple conversion guide is so useful. Each region relies on its own measurement system, and the numbers don’t always match from one scale to another. By laying these systems side by side, it becomes much easier to understand how they relate and to identify your equivalent size across different international standards.

Here is a table showing the foot sizes that feature on this size with their comparisions across the regions from the models who have currently appeared on the site.

How Men’s Shoe Sizing Systems Differ

UK Sizes

The UK system is one of the most widely used globally.

  • UK sizes typically run one full size smaller than US men’s sizes.
  • Example: UK 9 ≈ US 10.
US Sizes

US men’s sizes are similar to UK sizing but shifted up by one.

  • Example: US 11 ≈ UK 10.
EU Sizes

EU sizing uses a centimetre‑based system called Paris Points, but the numbers you see—like EU 40 or EU 44—are not the actual length of the foot in centimetres. Instead, the Paris Point scale measures foot length in increments of two‑thirds of a centimetre (0.667 cm). Each step on this scale represents one “Paris Point.”

This means:

  • EU 40 does not mean a 40 cm foot
  • The EU number is simply the position on the Paris Point scale, not a direct measurement.
The Basic Formula

To understand how the system works, here’s the simplified relationship:

EU Size=Foot Length in cm+1.50.667

Or reversed:

Foot Length in cm(EU Size×0.667)1.5

This is why an EU 40 corresponds to a foot length of roughly 25–26 cm, not 40 cm.

A Simple Visual Explanation

Think of the Paris Point scale like a ruler with very small, evenly spaced marks:

  • Each mark = 0.667 cm
  • EU sizes count how many marks long the foot is (plus a small allowance)
  • The number is a step, not a measurement

So instead of saying:

  • “Your foot is 26 cm long,” the EU system says:
  • “Your foot fits around the 40th Paris Point step.”
Brazil Sizes

Brazil uses a system similar to EU sizing but typically 2 sizes smaller than the EU equivalent.

  • Example: EU 44 ≈ Brazil 42.
  • This system is less commonly seen internationally, so having it included helps customers in South America or those buying Brazilian‑made footwear.
